Games are one of the three main parts of an Awana Club's meeting. This page provides information about Awana's Eastern Virginia Region AwanaGames. There are details about when and where the Regional AwanaGames will be held, information about the preparations needed (like training for Coaches and Line Judges on AwanaGames rules), and documentation for registering your teams to participate. A maximum of 4 teams compete against each other on a single circle. Multiple circles are designated to accomodate all the teams. Awards are given to all participants, and First through Fourth place teams are identified through a point system on each circle. Please note there are 4 levels of AwanaGames. Games played are age-appropriate, and levels are divided by club: 1) Sparkies participate in their specially-named Sparks-A-Rama 2) T&T clubbers participate against other T&T clubs 3) Trek clubbers participate against other Trek clubs 4) Journey 24/7 clubbers participate against other Journey clubs Due to the number of clubs at each level in different areas of the Eastern Virginia Region, Sparks-A-Rama and T&T AwanaGames may - or may not - be held the same day at the same location. When they are on the same day at the same location, Sparks-A-Rama is in the morning (team check-in starts at 9AM, games start at 10AM) and T&T AwanaGames are in the afternoon (check-in one hour or more before games start, which is at 1PM). Trek and Journey 24/7 are usually the same day and location as the Day of Champions (see below). Teams check-in starts at 9AM, games start at: 10AM (typically, Journey 24/7) 1PM (typically, T&T - check-in one hour or more before game start) 3PM (Day of Champions, check-in one hour or more before game start) Day of Champions is exclusively for T&T teams that finish in First place on their circle during AwanaGames. Some Second Place teams may be asked to participate to ensure four teams are on each circle. |
